1. Daily Info would publicise over 7-10 days, at no advertising cost to you, an auction of an item or service provided by yourselves of a value agreed beforehand (generally not less than £50, and not more than £200, though these guides are flexible). Bids would be made live online, the bids page being accessible via our front page revolving advertising space, the busiest advertising pages of our site, and of course our 'Auctions & Competitions' page.

2. Upon the close of the auction, we would contact the winner and take the amount of their bid from their card. We would then post them a personalized validation card, which they would show as proof of their identity when collecting their win. The card would feature an expiry date set by you and us (usually around 30 days from the date of the win, though this too can be flexible). We would telephone you with their name, and later they would contact you to book. To avoid confusion, it would be a good idea for you to forewarn your staff to expect a call from a Daily Info auction winner!

3. We would keep the cash from the winning bid, which should usually leave us with enough to cover our admin costs.

4. You get a lot of cheap publicity, the only cost to you being the cost of providing the won item/service (which is usually far less than you would have spent on an equivalent amount of advertising on our site at our standard rates). You also get the possibility of another regular customer - and you don't have the hassle of arranging a promotion.

5. The customer gets the excitement of bidding, a good deal, and a favourable disposition towards both of us!
