Rather confusingly, The landmass that is often called Port Meadow is actually split into two sections; Port Meadow and Wolvercote Common, separated by a ditch crossed by two bridges. Wolvercote Common is the section closest to Wolvercote, and is controlled by the Wolvercote Commoners Committee, whereas Port Meadow is controlled by the council. This knowledge is little-known, so use it to blend in with the Wolvercote locals.
