We saw this circus at Millets Farm with my kids, aged 6, 4 and 2.
The performers were very skilled. There was balancing, juggling, knife throwing, diabolos (the best performance by far!), bubbles and a trapeze. The balancing act was introduced as 'burlesque balancing' and was at times too risqué, even unsuitable, for an audience of mostly young children.
Maybe half of the hour-long performance was filled with an ongoing dialogue between the ringmaster and the clown. This dialogue was mostly funny, but also often extremely negative, with lots of ridiculing and name-calling, that my kids found quite distressing. My 4-year-old had enough and ran screaming from the tent when they finally wheeled out the human canon towards the end.
Altogether, a good show with some impressive performers. But if your children are very young, and you like to try and feed them positive influences, maybe avoid this for now.
