Hi I saw your movie and I think it is a very good way of conveying such a good message to the people of India. And don't be disheartened if you are not selected for the Oscars.
A middle-aged hoodlum falls for a breakfast radio presenter and convinces her he's an expert on Gandhi. He must then back up this lie, which he does with surprising success and lots of laughs, as he puts the Gandhian idea of getting what you want from people with persistence and pleasantry into practice with the aid of his frequent hallucination of the man himself. But his 'business' rival, Lucky Singh, threatens to tell all to the girl, putting him in a very nasty situation. Can he solve this one with non-violence? He doesn't solve ALL problems that way . . .
Without Hindi, (which is made fun of, by the way) you would miss a few jokes but not too many. The humour and the moving scenes work, even if you're not Indian. Look out for blindingly obvious steals from Good Morning Vietnam and A Fish Called Wanda. This film hardly puts a foot wrong all the way, from the moment the hero tackles the radio quiz with the help of several abducted eggheads. However, £6.99 a ticket is too expensive, of course, so see it on DVD later.
