This was simply wondrous! I braved the cold evening air with a desperate flu but felt all the better for doing so. My senses were aroused as I wandered through the back streets behind Queens College, under the bridge of sighs and into a world so far removed from modern day Oxford I wouldn't have been surprised to learn it was a dream. You simply must go and see this!! This was an experience like no other before. I felt so proud to be part of the large, yet gentle crowd. I was transported into an extraordinary environment superbly fitting of our glorious city's thousand year past. The music was intriguing yet chilling and sat superbly next to the warmth of the visual delights. I have no doubt that this will remain my most treasured memory of Oxford, ever! Broad Street will be transformed in March, by French fire artists Carabosse and Oxford's Ted Dewan. Hanging fire pots, sculptures and chandeliers will replace electric lighting and traffic to transform the street into an enchanted place.
