Unsurprisingly, given the change of director, this film has avery different feel to the original. In spite of this, it maintains an equivalent level of savagery and scariness. There are one or two inadequacies of plot - Robert Carlisle's horrible father/zombie would have to be psychic as well as infected to get to all the places he does - but it all moves so fast that you'd hardly notice.
Nothing profound, in spite of a few tasty moral dilemmas, but another visceral treat. Have someone or something to hide behind.
