I agree with the assessment of this book by Jimmy, 17/06/07, on this truly amazing poet. He is a voice for our time, chroncling events the way no other poet I have read in a long time is. "War Is Over", "Marrakech" and "Another Hiroshima High Noon" are chilling and haunting poems. They speak of the despair all around us, as well as the opportunity for atonement.

Poet and writer Robert Segarra has just released a new collection of poetry entitled The Battle Hymn Of The Republicans. It is the edgiest collection of poetry from this poet thus far. Subjects and topics range from the Iraq War, to politics, death, love, loss, grief, hope and life. It is a must read for anyone who enjoys gothic, free verse, traditional poetry and a thinking writer.
