The Saw films might not be much cop, but I certainly wouldn't call them Torture Porn. Indeed, I wouldn't call any professionally released films Torture Porn. What on earth does that phrase mean anyway? [We use it to mean glamorised images of people hurting other people, presented in a way that is intended more to stimulate than to put off. Think of the difference between the whipping scene in Casino Royale and an anti-vivisection poster. - Ed.] The tagline for Saw V is a red-rag to my own personal mind-bull. "You Won't Believe How it Ends". So, how can I resist trying to guess the twist before the final reel? Brendon Connelly (DI User), 23/10/08 |
