A cut above the average teen slasher pic. If taken at face value, it's an entertaining tale of the madness and mayhem that follows after a naughty satanist rock-band make the unpardonably dim error of supposing Megan Fox to be a virgin and sacrificing her. As a result she is possessed by a singularly unpleasant demon and goes about eating boys. Gradually her more sexually innocent, less well-off best friend Amanda Seyfried realises what's going on and makes increasingly desperate attempts to stop the carnage, and especially to save her own nice boyfriend from the clutches of evil Megan. But is this what's really happening, or is it a Turn of the Screw story where we are being presented with Seyfried's delusions, and she actually committed the murders herself? There is a very clever and satisfactory other level on which Seyfried resents Fox, has been jealous of her obvious beauty and sexual success for years, and is even harbouring not very deeply suppressed desires for her herself. The viewers must figure it out for themselves. All in all, it was very nicely done, with an excellent cast, though I have to say that I wish Megan Fox, who is really a very beautiful girl, could come up with another expression besides lustful.
