Excellent show last night upstairs at the Folly Bridge Inn organised by Guy de Valle of Pont Music. Don Galado and Far West headlining. A sound straight out of the Apallachian Mountains , think Fleet Foxes by way of Creedence, the lead guitarist with the best timing heard since Clapton at the Royal Albert Hall, an opinion I shared with the band who took time to talk. Blinding. Far removed from the background noise of the pub bar below, the backroom, stage lit, is a serious space for musicians and proved a chance to catch an authentic sound in what will have been a low key gig for them between larger venue commitments in the UK.
