Not booked your tickets for UPP’s screening of The Princess Bride yet? Inconceivable!

This is a cult classic subversion of the traditional fairytale formula – it’s boy meets Robin Wright (most famous for playing Claire Underwood in House of Cards) and they fall in love. Is this a kissing film? Afraid there is some smooching but there’s also daring duels, ridiculous riddles an evil prince, Andre the giant and R.O.U.S (Rodents Of Unusual Size), naturally.

Lots of familiar faces make an appearance throughout the film; Mandy Patinkin (Saul Berenson in Homeland) as the repetitive Spaniard Inigo Montoya, Wallace Shawn as the arrogant, malapropping Vizzini and Billy Crystal as Miracle Max who has some fantastic lines: “Have fun storming the castle!” Endlessly quotable, this comedy/romance/fantasy adventure is an adventure suitable for the whole family - as you (would) wish!
