You'd think that by now you might have seen every possible view of Oxford captured on canvas, but this kooky little gallery hopes to convince you otherwise. Local painters, illustrators, photographers, jewellers and printmakers are all represented here in this compact but light gallery space above the art shop. True, some go for the obvious 'big hitters'; the Radcliffe Camera and the Bridge of Sighs - but the hidden gems of Tom Tower, Port Meadow and Shotover Wood are also represented. The work of established artists sits next to that of first time exhibitors and that's what gives this show its charm. Scooter McKenzie (DI User), 02/08/12 |
