Jack Bennett leads this one man show incorporating a few characters in addition to his blunt portrayal of 'himself' as Jim Bennett, actor humdrum... nervous and all... Using marker pens and torches he takes a shot at our antiquated, overvalued and unfair education system, proposing that we do not learn to read and write at school; or at least, children would learn to do so regardless of their babysitter's remit.
Although 'Jim' Bennett played his part better than his trombone, the ending - as anti-climatic as a repeated episode of Home & Away- left one feeling enlightened with the giveaway torch in pocket on the way home!
A classic example of the Artsy Council's waste of tax-payer's money.
