Unicorn Theatre, Abingdon

Charming Elizabethan-style theatre, in the Medieval Abbey buildings, which are also worth exploring. The theatre is in what was the Checker Hall (Abbey exchequer), and was turned over to its current use in 1952, partially using child labour from nearby Radley College! It's small, steep, and atmospheric. Plays are regularly put on by Abingdon Drama Club, the Studio Theatre Club, The Old Gaol Theatre Co and other local groups.
