Sounds great, but this gives a somewhat misleading impression. This place is a mess, central heating turned up to stifling all night, even though the room radiator was turned off. Curtains that did not shut. No ensuite, which is not a problem, but the communal bathroom was off putting, with a filthy shower which was nearly coming off the wall, and a mildew encrusted shower curtain. Breakfast the next day was awful, a full English consisted of 1 slice bacon, 1 egg, 1 sausage and 1/2 tomato. The sausage was inedible. On leaving we noticed the guest book had been signed by someone who said "sorry, had to leave early, as we had a meeting" and found myself wondering if they had actually paid. Wouldn't blame them if they had not. I don't mind basic, but this frankly takes the mickey. £50 a night... I know Oxford is expensive but... I'm sorry guys but you certainly won't be getting a repeat booking from this customer. Luxury abated indeed, as someone else wrote in the book.
