A group of 25 booked for Saturday night. We were told beforehand that the cocktail were half price during the Happy Hour but the actual price depended upon which barman you ordered from. Some where told they were £2 off, others that the second was half price, and others charged full price. It took half an hour to get served and the queue so large that one visit was all that could be managed in the not so Happy Hour, some of our party didn't manage to get one drink. Starters arrived soon after but the waitresses brought too little food and then didn't have a clue on what each person was supposed to get. One of our party left having not managed to get a drink or eaten anything in 90 minutes. Main courses were tasty and plentiful when they did arrive but that and the free cocktails that followed did little to make up for the confusion. To make matters worse, the music was nothing like that advertised on the web site. Geoff (DI User), 31/10/10 Had a great evening out in Camera. We went with a group of 5 and had dinner in the restaurant. The food was really interesting and tasty – the Camera spaghetti with seafood is delicious, and they also do vegetarian versions of it which is just as good. The restaurant is perfect for groups as all the food can be shared. We had sushi for starters which was high quality and freshly made. The ambience in the restaurant is relaxed but the décor is very, very cool and stylish, quite minimal but with an asian theme. The staff were very friendly and the service was perfect. The best thing is that you can then move to the bar which is done out beautifully and perfect for socializing and people watching. We spent the rest of the evening drinking delicious cocktails in the bar area and just had a great time. All in all, Camera is a fab venue – really plush and special, but actually very reasonably priced. Will def go again. annecy (Unverified), 02/03/10 A genuine, grade-A stunner of a venue. All the best aspects of a good bar - style, originality, bubbling atmosphere, killer cocktails and music that hits the spot. If this were in London, the staff would make you beg for service, and you'd need a second mortgage to make the most of the cocktail list - not so here, very reasonably priced and the bar staff are just so friendly. It's spacious and airy so you're not crammed in like cattle, and plenty of swish seating on which to perch and people-watch. The food is tasty and authentic too. It's a gem!
