I've been drinking in this pub on and off for the last 10 years since I moved to Oxford. It used to be a cracking little pub, where you could go and spend the afternoon chilling out with your mates and enjoy a game of pool. Now we have karaoke screaming out, and bands playing so loud you can't hear what people are saying. Its a shame - one of the last few decent pubs in east Oxford has become the same as everywhere else.

I usually drink ale and it is always good - they have a wide selection of liquors as well. The atmosphere is always laid back and the music is good. The weekend bands are usually really enjoyable performances, and I am a huge fan of Thursday night karaoke! Above all, the service at the pub is amazing. The people working here always make sure I have a good time. Great for student nights - they even have a pool table! Went in approx 2 weeks ago with some friends as we'd arranged to meet here, it was like being in a school canteen - lights too bright, it felt empty (we were the only customers!), and my ale tasted flat.
