I stayed in this hotel to celebrate my birthday. I agree with some of the previous comments. The hotel is absolutely spotless, front desk staff is going the extra mile and we had a lovely, spacious room. Yes it is next to a major Oxford roundabout but you can't hear a thing. The breakfast, yes, is on the cheap side. Sawdust sausages, a meager selection of continental cheese (and all the other stuff we have for breakfast across the channel) and somewhat disorganised when you want a refill of your tea. If you want to eat late, then I suggest to avoid the hotel menu just as you should do in every other hotel. There is a lovely family-run pub a 10 minute (if at all) walk away from the hotel. They are super friendly there and don't mind kids at all. As a business hotel, which this clearly is, I can recommend it. For a romantic weekend you might be better of somewhere else.

I was with a group of six people who stayed in this hotel on 20/21 May 2008 and found it immaculate. The front desk staff we very friendly and efficient. The rooms are a bit of a distance from the front desk and I would advise you take a suitcase with wheels, as it can be quite a walk to the rooms.

The room was a very good size and also had a nice comfy chair; plenty of tea and coffee on the hot drinks tray. The room also had a safe.

Staff in the restaurant were very attentive and it had a good selection of food on the menu, but the drinks were expensive.

The breakfast had a good selection from cold meats, fruit, cereal and cooked breakfast and as much tea and coffee as needed.

I was so impressed with the staff and cleanliness with the hotel, that before I left I booked a weekend for my husband and parents for the end of the month, to celebrate my mum’s birthday.

We were not charged for parking our car, but a token is required for barrier.

This is a former Travelodge motel which they have tarted up on the cheap. It's at a roundabout park-n-ride/services area so you should know what to expect - well, except that now they call themselves a hotel instead of motel they CHARGE for PARKING. I kid you not. Can we say rip off? The rooms are very small, poorly soundproofed, and there are NO room fridges. They claim to have ice available but getting a bucket of ice was a major time wasting misery each time we asked. It's hotel policy not to have room fridges - another rip off-you have to eat and drink there because it's in the middle of nowhere and you can't drive after drinking, right?

The place is a stair climbers delight, if you have problems with steps- stay clear! We were there for a conference and every room required steps up and steps down and steps all about. There was 1 teeny-tiny lift and it did not serve the conference rooms and its functioning is intermittent.

The food is abysmal unless you like breakfast bars with luke-warm food (regardless if it was meant to be hot or cold originally) sitting under heat lamps. Gross. Hopefully you like semi-skim milk because that is all you can get for your tea or coffee. Yep, no real milk, no cream. I had to hassle to get butter.

This place is NOT cheap either. I would never recommend it.
