Popped in for a quick drink before a meal last night having not been in for a couple of years. The atmosphere was lovely with the quiet music allowing plenty of chat. Had a lovely pint of St Edmunds beer - great condition and a perfect temperature. There were a few people eating fish and chips, which looked good. The toilets were clean, and overall the place looked spic and span. Very comfortable - will be returning soon I hope.

Good mix of clientele and really nice decor on walls (film posters) towards rear. Loads of seating. Not had a bad experience myself unlike last reviewer. However, was treated with contempt by quite the rudest barmaid I have ever met last night. She made it absolutely plain she didn't want us cluttering up her pub and was so shockingly rude at the end of the evening that my chums at Greene King will be getting an official complaint.
