This menu is out of date, the specials don't exist and the prices are different. The food is OK though.
cuckoo (Unverified), 06/07/11 Love, love, love the Dragon Bowl. The only place I order Chinese takeaway from since I found them. I especially love the Sesame Chicken that comes with fresh slices of cucumber on the side and the fried wontons starter. Totally yum. In fact, I'm about to ring them for an order now. T (Unverified), 22/06/11 Excellent Chinese food at very reasonable prices. Free Prawn Crackers are a nice touch, but the main dishes are just gorgeous. Prompt delivery and polite and friendly staff. Top marks. Digital Genocide (Unverified), 17/03/10 I tried out The Dragon Bowl as part of my quest to find the one true Oxford chinese takeaway (purely in the interests of science, of course). The food is very good value for money, and while certainly adequate, leaves a little room for improvement. Delivery took just over an hour, which is a little longer than I'd like. The deep fried items on the menu seem a bit too oily and taste a little burnt (just a little, mind, maybe I caught them on a bad day). Their fried rice is a little fluffier than most (rather than the chewier style), which will be either good or bad depending on your tastes. Noodles were well-flavoured, but a tad stodgy. They also do a rather good black pepper sauce (which isn't something one finds everywhere), even though the quality of the meat was a little low, it was very tasty. This review may sound negative, but overall they were pretty good (especially given the price). I wouldn't be unhappy to order from there again. 7/10 Simon (Unverified), 30/07/09 After trying out the takeaways in Headington, ventured out to the Dragon Bowl and this is without doubt the best of the lot. The meals are always lovely and fresh made, taste great and good value. The only downside I can think of is that the spring rolls are a bit big but that's being really picky! Top Takeaway! DB, Headington (Unverified), 11/05/09 My flatmate and I order from here every Tuesday mainly due to the excellent value midweek offer that consists of 2 main dishes, 2 rices and prawn crackers all for under a tenner! Highly recommended. Jo B (Unverified), 03/06/08 I ordered 2 main meals as well as soup and cold drinks. The hot food arrived hot and in 20 minutes and was very tasty. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the local area.
