What a find - a terrific, friendly pub which serves superb restaurant food! We've eaten there several times now and I can honestly say that I'm becoming increasingly jealous of the locals who have this gem on their doorstep!
Sam (Unverified), 29/06/10 If I wasn't such a generous soul, I'd keep the secret of the Harcourt Arms to myself. I eat there regularly with family and friends or for business lunches and always receive a warm welcome from the owners and staff. At the Harcourt Arms, they understand the secret of running a successful village pub. They stock a selection of good wines at reasonable prices and look after their beer. The menu is a delight and changes with the seasons, with everything prepared on the premises (no short cuts with the sweets here!). Everything is cooked to perfection and lovingly presented. In short, a delight! Steve (Unverified), 16/01/07 Excellent. I have been disappointed with the lack of affordable good food in and around Oxford recently but the Harcourt Arms has changed that. We had a fabulous meal (on Thursday - steak night) cooked beautifully and the best steak I've had in a long while. Will definitely be returning. Stefan (Unverified), 08/12/06 We visit the Harcourt Arms often and have consistantly excellent meals at affordable prices. The staff are friendly and accommodating and you have the option of sitting in the bar area, for a more casual night, or in the restaurant if you want to be a little more formal. Our current favourites on the regular menu are Moule followed by Duck Confit but the menu changes each season so these may not appear soon. Sunday lunches are also excellent offering all usual cooked to a very high standard. They get booked up so best to ring in advance for a table. The Harcourt Arms is, in my opinion, a little known gem and well worth a visit.
