I absolutely love this place!!!!! They make the BEST sandwiches I have ever eaten. I take all my friends there and would recommend it to everyone and anyone. The man and lady that work there are friendly and smiley and always want to chat (unlike other places). I couldn't imagine having lunch from anywhere else.

I have been going here every year since I was 8 (I'm now 24)- me and my dad come here for our Xmas shopping and it's a tradition to stop here after a morning of shopping. BEST JACKET POTATO IN THE WOLRD. I can never finish it all - honestly, I love this place =D

We've tried many of the delights of the Covered Market in the past couple of weeks, in search of the ultimate lunchtime experience. Ricardo's, we can safely say, is it. Inspired combinations, taste sensations and a damn good cup of tea too.

This man's pork is hot and has crackling. Amazing.

When we first arrived at Brookes everyone pointed us in the direction of Ricardos... we all wondered what the fuss was about - until we ordered food.

What more can I say? Excellent, fresh and tasty and food, Excellent Value!!!

We've all been eating at Ricardos during our first year at Brookes and can honestly say the sandwiches are amazing with huge portions. Try anything in a grilled ciabatta - Trust me!!

I went to Ricardo's for the first time today with all my friends. The sandwiches were amazing and I have never had anything like it before. I can't believe he makes the fillings himself. It's a nice change to all those pre-made things you get that have no taste at all!!

Me and my friends have decided that we will always buy from there because the workers there are always so happy and talkative. You don't get that kind of hospitality anywhere else these days.

I came to Oxford January 09 and when I asked a few people where I could find a decent freshly made sandwich they recommended Ricardos in the covered market. All i can say is it is absolutely amazing! The sandwich is made in front of you so you know what you ask for is what you get. The staff are so friendly they make you feel like family. I just love the place.

I spent 5 years in Oxford studying, and was introduced to Ricardo's after my first year. What a fantastic sandwich bar! I really miss the food and the friendliness of the staff. Whenever I come back to Oxford my first stop is always Ricardo's - I think what makes it for me is knowing that all the food is freshly made every day on the premises. I would recommend that anyone wanting good food, value for money and a hefty sandwich should try Ricardo's - you will not be disappointed!

I went to Ricardos inside the covered market after it was recommended to me from a friend. I did not think that anyone could ever say that a sandwich was one of the tastiest things they ever have eaten, but I stand corrected. I had a chicken mayo bageutte with sweet chilli sauce which was recommended to me by Ricardo himself, who made it for me there and then on the spot, no pre made rubbish. It was incredible.

His food is honest and value for money and the staff are always pleasant and talkative.
