Serves pub food, snacks and more, house wine at £6.50 a bottle & double spirits at £1 more than singles.Opening hours: Mon - Thu: 12noon - 12am, Fri/Sat: 12noon - 2am, Sun: 12noon - 12am. Lively and friendly Gay pub, has recently been refurbished giving it a trendy 'bar' feel. Have also recently started doing food which is great value, especially the Sunday roasts! They also run a monthly girls night Girl Friday in their cellar bar which is very popular with the ladies and a weekly Cocktail night on a Saturday. With friendy bar staff and a welcoming atmosphere the Castle Tavern is my favourite Oxford Gay pub, 10 out of 10 :) Bob (Unverified), 17/10/10 I've been to this club and I just love it. It has a small-ish L-shaped bar area with a juke-box with all the staple gay tunes and a very reasonably priced (but nothing special) menu.
