Recently moved to Bladon myself. Have been to the pub to eat once and the food was extremely good and very reasonably priced. Have also had takeaway fish and chips - beautifully light and not oily! The landlord, Wayne, is really nice and chatty. Top marks.

The White House pub has changed hands recently. I went in on Thursday with friends for steak night and it was really good: the steak was cooked to perfection, the garnish salad was really fresh, nice onion rings and chunky chips.

Now I have tried their take away service (fish and chips). This is where I think I have to mention how tasty it was, portion size is perfect, the fish very light and fresh and chips are chunky yet not soggy. BEST FISH AND CHIPS I HAVE TRIED FOR A LONG LONG TIME. Will I recomended?!! Yes!

The staff are really friendly and they welcome dogs to the pub which is a plus in Oxfordshire.

We called in on Thursday night (steak night) as we were staying in the area having visited Blenheim Palace. What a find this pub was! As the main area was full of diners we sat in the bar window. The steaks were they best we had had for some time, with real beer, a friendly staff and a reasonable cost. What more could you ask for?

We called on our way back from Bourton on the Water and were geeted by very friendly staff. We only ordered a main meal which was huge and delicious and piping hot.We will definitely call again if in the area.

Two of us came for a meal on 17th July 2008, we had a main meal which was very nice but when we tried to order a pudding we were told they were too busy and didn't have enough staff to give us one. We then tried to order a coffee and they couldn't manage this either - poor customer service. I can honestly say I have never been out for a meal and only been able to have a main course. An apology was not even offered either. What a shame as the pub is very welcoming and comfortable and in a lovely village.

We called in last night for food and were greeted by a really friendly, polite landlord. The menu was good and our food arrived promptly piping hot. There was a lovely atmosphere in the pub - it was quiz night - however we didn't join in but everyone seemed very relaxed and laid back. It was a real pleasure to come away well fed and happy with our choice. Many thanks we will be back.
