Does anyone know if/when this place still operates? I loved it back in 2008, but now it only seems to have its door open once in a blue moon.

Oxford Students and World Travellers! Oct 2007-April 2008. Who knows the kind of taste buds of those guys below and whether they really knew where they were, for the Carfax Fish and Chips we SAW was full of customers either enjoying eating their DELICIOUS chips at their tables or waiting in the busy line to order! Our entire visiting team from the USA loved the Carfax Fish and Chips! Not greasy at all, but rather moist. Plenty of fish...almost so much you had enough to take with you!Thanks Reuben, Diana, Andrea and Letty for such a treat and great memory of Oxford!!

We have been here last week, so this review is quite recent : It was in shambles!
Chips : soggy, not done and dark. Fish : too much batter, little fish. We mentioned this and the staff said they could not help it. Waste of money! I think the oil is too old and the temperature too low.
