Honey Pot is a fab venue! The satff could not be more more helpful and really will make you feel worth a million pounds sterling! Out-standing & hospitable! this is a little treasure of a of place, chilled vibe, atmosphere is on key. You can go there for a nice relaxed dink after work and always feel right at home. Friendly, cool tunes, nice outside area - great food! Love it!

TomD, besides being condescending, is wrong. The Honey Pot is really half lounge/half pub. It changes at night. It is a fantastic place!

Great food, great beer, great spirit selection, great garden, great atmosphere. One of the best pubs in Oxford by far, and featuring Bruno, the best pub dog in Oxford! Definitely worth a visit.

In response to Katrina, 09/05/06 - "Hard to say really whether it's a pub or a cocktail lounge". It is a pub.

This place was an absolute delight, I was in here for 3 nights in the last week and i had a fantastic laugh, the music was cool and the drinks were divine, the only let down was the moody northern blonde bar girl... but even that didn't dampen my spirits as I went on to stay for the rest of the evening for a fantastic time

This place is amazing, beautiful....refreshing! To turn the corner from Park End HELL and stumble on this beauty was what I call a happy accident. It's got warmth, great music, the cocktails taste fine! And the bar staff are friendly, accommodating and sexy as f***! Anyone who wants to enjoy a place with a slight lilt on quirkiness and good taste should visit the Honeypot! Good show!

Dammit, I recently spent a week in Oxford ( hometown) after 26 years living in California, and I didn't know about you guys!

Having been delighted by the Podcasts I've only recently discovered, I'm seriously pissed off that I missed the chance to hang with a such a great crowd and hear such diverse and interesting music.

I'll come and say hello when I next get home.

Thanks

Phil

Maybe it’s best not to post this up... but I think the Honeypot is Oxford’s best little secret! So Shh! Hard to say really whether it's a pub or a cocktail lounge, both really? Great ambience inside and a nice garden out the back now its warming up.

Saturday nights the cocktail prices are brill, plus the Dj plays some of the coolest tunes I never heard. Gilles Peterson style beats, funk, soul and old jazz sometimes too. Okay, the downside! Well it used to be they closed too early (11pm) but I think the late hours go through till 1am on weekends now. It's a bit out of the way if you're on foot out in Cowley but otherwise really worth discovering!

I went down to the Honeypot the other night and was pleasantly surprised, by not only the variety of drinks but by the calibre of people who went in there, they were from all walks of life. The main selling point of the place seemed to be however the variety of music. Branching from chilled drum and bass, to improvisational jazz and funk, to Frank Zappa and Django Reinhart. Very eclectic. Recommended for a night where you want to go somewhere with good music that isn't so loud that you need to shout for people to hear you.
