Have been in Oxf for a year or so but had not been to the Duke until recently. Where do I start? Excellent pub, friendly bar staff, good range of drinks (including some fine ales), has an "alternative" vibe, but not-at-all pretentious, & everyone would feel welcome there.

Went to "Who Do You Love?" DJ night a couple of times this year (seems to happen fairly regularly), & the music was really excellent, fab mix of old & new alternative tunes, but also some 1960s pop-tastic songs & a bit of electro-dance, a cool mix of music, & a great atmos.

Shall go to that night again, & might well make the pub one of my "locals" from now on...

The Duke is one of those pubs that once you've tried it you'll love it! Good friendly service with an excellent range of shots on offer, It also has the added advantage of staying open till 1 on Friday and Saturdays. I would recommend anyone who likes to go out to chat with friends and have fun.
