Lola Lo

Was asked by the bookings manager to fill this out to share my experience of this club. Can't fault it! Had a great night on a stag do, and very glad that we came as we booked a table and wanted it to live up to expectations - which it certainly did! I hope the staff all see this, as I could not thank them enough for the service they provided (and the banter!). Great crowd and DJ, danced my pants off. Stag had an amazing night. We will be back.

I was in Lola Lo on Friday and found it indistinguishable from the previous incarnation as PoNaNa, except that they've put up the odd bit of Hawaiian-style decoration and they were giving out some plastic flower garlands.

The bar prices are fairly eye-watering at over a fiver for a small non-premium spirit and mixer. It's by no means the worst clubbing crowd in Oxford but looking at some of the characters in the place I couldn't help feeling that a fight breaking out was not beyond the realms of possibility. Maybe just my imagination as there was no actual aggro.

The music was pretty good, and got all of us up and dancing, and the staff were really nice, so I might give the place another shot one day. Until then, back to the Cellar for me.

WOW! Lola Lo Oxford is quite something! Truly an AMAZING night out! Yes it used to be Ponana which was bad. But it is now completely different! The club itself is beautiful and so are the staff, you are literally transported into a different world, it's like paradise inside.

The drinks are really well priced for what you get as they contain a lot of alcohol and from looking at the back bar it is all premium stuff so no cheap rubbish. They are also very well made and you can see that from the effort the bartenders put in. (You also get really cool mugs!)

The music is great stuff, it had chart, some old club classics and then some old classics so everyone is on the dance floor which is just amazing as well. The lighting is really something and as it is a basement club the sound system is unbelievable.

I was there on a stag do and so we had a table booked! I would suggest getting a table as it is a great deal and you get treated like a true VIP not like other clubs where you just get a seat and then left. We had a personal waitress all night who was very attentive and beautiful. She worked very hard!

We booked it through a manager called James who was great and helped us with any problems before and on the night and again he was attentive and a great laugh, he also took photos so that we had some good memories. I wish I lived in Oxford as I would be back at this club every day!
