Trendy, relative newcomer 'bringing a slice of London into Oxford', apparently. 2-level bar, restaurant & club (VIP area included) with a slightly Moroccan feel.
Traditional dishes with an Occidental/Mediterranean edge. |

On Friday and Saturday before 10pm it's free, which is pretty impressive for a club in Oxford, but wait till 11pm and you have to pay £7! Also £1.50 for the cloakroom is quite unusually steep. To be honest, it doesnt get busy on the dancefloor till at least midnight most nights, but you can easily sit and chat with friends and get a few drinks in while you wait for it to get busier. The drinks are pretty standard, nothing amazing I must admit, and rather overpriced, plus you MUST check your change, especially if you hand over a ten pound note. Twice now my friends and I have been short-changed (given a £10 note but only recieved the change for a £5note) and on one of these occassions they refused to give back the extra £5 despite us asking to speak to the manager. So that really put a downer on the evening! Luckily on the second occasion I managed to get my correct change. So seriously, check your change! On a more positive note, the music is fun to dance to (though it is the same stuff every week) and it was particularly good just before the students broke up for Christmas. There is a great variety of people that attend at the weekened and you never know what kind of crowd you are going to get - sometimes very studenty (especially when there is a planned party) but other times a slightly older crowd. It's a nice place to go at the weekend compared to some of the larger clubs as it is less crowded + hot so more enjoyable to dance. Louise, 10/03/07
