Really brilliant pub - love the ambience - great staff - and fantastic live music every month too!

I have been to the Seacourt on numerous occasions, normally finding it an adequate venue. It is usually a reliable lunchtime pub, especially as I only have around half an hour once I have got there from Abingdon. However on my most recent visit, I was disappointed to find my friends had already been waiting for five minutes, and then once a large party had been served the barmaid proceeded to serve all those who had arrived after our group. In the end it took more than 20 minutes to get served, leaving me with 10 minutes to talk to my friends. There did not appear to be any other staff working. The solitary barmaid even served one apparent regular without him having to order, after he had been waiting behind me. As a former bar manager I find this inexcusable.

I will think twice about visiting the Seacourt again if I have limited time - it is ridiculous that it would have been quicker to visit a pub closer to town!
