I have ordered take-away from Cafe Spice over the past 2 years and have eaten inside on about 4 occassions. Except for perhaps on one occasion we have always been completely pleased with the quality of the food. Our usual is chicken sylon (very very mild), a couple of keema naans which are almost always made properly with the meat spread inside up to the edges, tikka fish and byriani. Service inside is good, although I wasn't happy with the mango juice being a carton off-a-shelf served in a glass - I prefer fresh. I definitely would recommend them.

Ate here a few months ago and had superb food. Then brought 2 friends here upon my recommendation a few days later; it was a Saturday night, and they served countless takeaway customers, but kept us and the only other unfortunate people to have chosen to eat here that night, waiting indefinitely. After 3 (!) complaints from both tables, food eventually arrived. Meals seemed to be actually missing ingredients, sauce tasted like just basic tomato juice as opposed to curry. Sadly will now have to avoid.

Cafe Spice has the friendliest of staff who are continually accommodating of people's desires. They will do special requests if your favourite is not on their extensive and excellent menu. Having known this initially as a take away we were delighted to see their success enable them to refurbish and create a restaurant area and would recommend Cafe Spice to anyone who enjoys wonderful Indian food. Never disappoints!

This is a very pleasing new discovery. Three of us ordered chicken tikka masala (£6.95), razella (lamb with yoghurt, cream and chillies - £6.95), chana dansak (chick peas and lentils - £4.50), lemon rice (£2.50), pulao rice (£1.95) and peshwari nan (£1.80) on Jan 2nd 2008, and whilst it took an hour, it was well worth the wait. And we got free poppadums! The range of delicate flavours within our individual dishes was impressively wide, and we all agreed that this was the best takeaway (and as for my chana dansak, the best curry overall) that we'd had in some time. I often think it's possible to judge a place by the quality of its peshwari nan (those places that scrimp on content seem to fail in other areas too!), and this one was rammed with sweet puree, so they get my vote. Their deliverer takes cards too. We'll be using them again - and pretty soon, if I get my way!
