A group of six of us had an excellent Christmas dinner at the Cricketer's last Friday evening. Excellent quality food and at a very reasonable price. I don't usually do these reviews on the web but the Cricketer's deserves it. Oh yes, and the beer is great too.
andya (Unverified), 06/12/10 This place is amazing, the food is cheaper than eating at home or getting a takeaway, with very large portions and it tastes wonderful and well kept beer all from local brewerys. If you are walking on Shotover, make sure you make a visit janec (Unverified), 24/11/10 Chanced upon this lovely country pub by accident. What a charming place and welcome hassle free pub, no juke box or bother just friendly local chat. Had a pint of there excellent Hooky beer and some lunch. We were told that food is cooked to order and there would be a slight delay, this did not bother us as the ambience of the place was so warming. Food came about 15 minutes later and what fantastic lunch we had, nice size portions, tasted original and fresh. I would most certainly recommend this establishment for a nice drive out to a lovely village and excellent beer and food. If you are lucky you may well see The Red Kites flying over the vilage hovering around Shotover fields looking for lunch. atlantic_drifter (Unverified), 15/07/09 Please fill in the boxes and then click "Send Review" to submit your review for Cricketer's Arms, Wheatley. | |
