I've eaten here twice in recent months. First time was fine - standard pub food, reasonable atmosphere, and good end point for river walk. On the strength of this, went again. Big mistake. Despite booking, the service was diabolical - took an hour to get one soup, and by the time the very mediocre main courses arrived (only one of which required any heating up) our Father's Day celebration had turned a bit ugly.

Have been here a few times, being an Eynsham resident, but my first review.

This place has improved dramatically in the last few years, especially the food quality. I went on Valentines day, with the wife, along with another couple and their little boy. We all had Sunday Roast, including a little roast for the wee man. All the meat & veg was fresh, well cooked and very tasty. At £8.50 for a roast I'd say it was a fair price.

We had a mixture of the puddings on offer - not a huge selection, but the apple pie and spotted dick were great. All puds served with either custard, ice cream, fresh cream (or a mixture of both if preferred!) were around £4.

Basically just good down to earth pub, friendly staff, reasonable prices and a good atmosphere. Good selection of ales & wines as well. Will continue to pop in now and again when we fancy eating out.
