The room seemed ok at first but it was on the second floor with no lift - oldies beware. The bathroom was out of the ark with an advocado coloured suite. My room was on the front overlooking the square which was ok when I arrived but it is only a couple of doors away from a student bar/night club which is extremely noisy and closes at 2.30am. The noise was unbelievable and I could feel the beat through the mattress. So make sure you ask for a room at the back. I understand they have a new chef and although I only ate in the bar the food was good. The food at breakfast was also good.
For the money I paid, £59 per night for a single room, I'm sure I could have done better elsewhere.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for one night in July (2010). The room was clean but the bathroom looked like it had been decorated using tiles and weird wall and ceiling coverings from a cheap leisure centre. There was no extractor fan and no car parking available, as the car park was full. No one showed us to our room. In the morning, there was no running water in the whole block of rooms, including ours. They still wanted us to check out by 10am(!) even though we couldn't wash. When we checked out we just had to leave the key on the front desk, as there was no one around. For this, we paid £85.
