The service was mixed - a couple of members being really polite, but also a couple being uncommunicative or acting as if we were an inconvenience! I had the beef bourguignon, it was okay, but it was more a slab of beef with sauce rather than what I was expecting. A little disappointing.

Have eaten here twice in May and enjoyed it. On both occasions the service was almost an issue – (i.e. almost at the stage when we were about to enquire what had happened to our orders) so this is one thing to keep in mind. However the location is lovely, the food we had was very nice, staff were friendly and the litmus test to most places is ‘will we go back’? Yes we will is the short answer and this pub is well worth a visit.
