Amazing food! One of the best currys I've had in a very long time. Friendly, helpful staff and quick service. What more could you want from your local takeaway?

Absolutely fantastic! Best Indian in Oxford, and the people are super nice. I used to love the old Indian Curry House before the new management took over, but the new owners went out of their way to prepare a dish just the way I liked it--and it exceeded all hopes! So five stars on all fronts--highly recommended.

This review is for the Bangla Kitchen: first rate food, pretty much the best Indian Sub Continent food in Oxford at the moment, very fresh, and old favorites like Tandoori are done perfectly: moist, herby and with just a tiny hint of smokeyness. We only tried the home delivery, but we will certainly go and eat there another time. This is proper cooking with know-how, experience, and made with love of what they are doing. Very rare indeed!

I was in a dilemma about whether to have curry or pizza one night when I stumbled upon the menu from Indian Curry House. I called the number only to find the name had changed to "BANGLA KITCHEN" and recognised that name. I found the menu they sent through my letterbox and ordered a lamb dupiaza and chicken tikka starter, plus rice with a few popadoms. The meal was amazing! I reccommend this takeaway to everyone - I've tried pretty much every other Indian takeway in Oxford and none matched this.

This is a great example not only of good food, but of a wonderful resource for finding it! I am quite new to the area and based on the previous reviews decided to try the Curry House after being disappointed by other closer dine-in Indian restaurants. The service was phenomenal - I decided to walk up and place my order in person, and discovered that the gentleman at the counter was very friendly and full of useful information about Oxford. I definitely do recommend taking advantage of their order online service and having your food delivered, however, as the place is quite difficult to find (and if you do try to walk up, be aware that the Google walking directions are incorrect and will not get you there!). The food was wonderful, with generous portions, and the prices are fairly student-friendly. I will definitely be ordering from them again!

This is a funny place, in an unassuming building, which is also a grocery store. But it's some of the best curry in Oxford. The patia I had was so sweet, sour and rich it was like the best mince pie filling. My partner thoroughly enjoyed his Karahi too. And they have some more unusual dishes on offer too, like Mou-Chak Chicken, with honey in the sauce.

Because they also have a little supermarket when you order takeaway (with their funky online ordering system) you can also get beer and milk and other things you've forgotten. How clever is that! If I was a student I'd probably get takeaway every night.

The only problem from my perspective is that they're over the wrong side of town, an a bit out of the way. But they're definitely worth going out of your way for, foodwise.
