Not been for a while and hardly ever before during the warmer months but had a great time here recently. Had an excellent burger and pint (at 15:30 in the afternoon - about the latest pub lunch you'll get around here unless Wetherspoons is your cup of tea) whilst sitting in the garden. The garden is smarter than I remember it with non-rickety pub benches and well-kept flower beds and grass areas, the interior can feel a little dark in places but there is always a good atmosphere to keep things ticking over. There are always some good ales on tap - I had a pint of the Bramble Stout, which whilst taking a bit of time getting into, was ultimately very satisfying. I recommend skipping the dire pubs on the London Road in Headington and heading to the old part of the suburb where this and the Black Boy around the corner are setting the standard for all others to follow. Joe B (Unverified), 18/04/10 The White Hart is definitely the best pub in Oxford! The new tenants have made some small changes after they moved in and the best addition is the food. It would be hard to find better pub grub than the food at the White Hart. For example, the pies are to die for. A shame that the absolutely amazing chilli is not on the new menu... Definitely worth a visit! Stretch (Unverified), 17/02/09 Please fill in the boxes and then click "Send Review" to submit your review for White Hart, Headington. | |
