Wow - if you want to business lunch in style, call these chaps! Beautifully presented platters are cheerfully delivered right to your office, neatly labelled as to courses and dietary requirements (the pics left show the separate veggie platter and fruit/dessert platter; the bottom pic is of the gluten free platter), with paper plates and specially printed menu included. Used platters are collected the following day. An office of 6+ lunched amply on four platters, the high quality of which was just what you'd expect from the team that run posh Jericho deli East West Provisions. The pleasingly finger food-sized items included super-spicy onion bhajis, tiny salmon buns, crustless egg sarnies and even sushi-roll-sized slices of salmon & cream cheese wrap (each decorated with a single caper!). There was plenty more variety besides, and the dessert platter was a colourful spread of fresh fruits and pretty chocolates, including a miniature cheesecake and chocolate brownie. It's clear that a lot of care goes in to making these treats look and taste so fabulous. All this weighs in at a most reasonable £8.50 per head - or £11 per head for the 'gourmet' version. Delivery is free and full menus can be investigated on their website. If you're feeling like spoiling your workforce or impressing an important guest, this instant posh nosh buffet will surely fit the bill. The only thing it left us wanting was an excuse to order the next one :) Su Jordan (DI Staff), 30/09/09 Basically the most straightforward test you can apply to higher end private sandwich/buffet delivery companies is a straight face off against the top end supermarkets. I haven't done this but what I have done is sampled what the chirpy chaps at TOFC have to offer and I can tell you that they pack a mean 'lunch box'. Price wise there wouldn't be much in it, if say you were comparing to say Waitrose direct or a Pret platter, but what you get here is the same feel of freshness but with additional choice and variety with little presentational touches that outshine the corporate type offer. Service wise again TOFC boys score highly. Try them out - photos don't do their offer any justice - all you will see is several empty platters and satisfied faces. That is after all the name of the game. billy bunter (Unverified), 18/11/09 Please fill in the boxes and then click "Send Review" to submit your review for The Oxford Food Company. | |
