Oxford GreenPrint is a small, friendly, environmentally-conscious and affordable printing and design company based in East Oxford. One of the parking spaces for Common Wheels car club is located here too, as these guys are all-round greeners. There's a section on their website about greening your office, and why printing has a big environmental impact. Mostly it's in the form of questions, and isn't too preachy or didactic. Also home of New Internationalist magazine. All printing is on recycled paper/card using renewable energy. Water-based soya inks are free of VOCs. All offcuts are reused or recycled. Oxford Hub is part of a whole network of Student Hubs across the country, attempting to co-ordinate charitable activities already happening and encourage awareness and participation. The whole of the first floor of this Georgian Building is available for hire. It's divided into 5 areas, which can be hired separately or together. These are: The Library (capacity 15) - chairs and books. The Living Room (cap 25) - comfy armchairs. Large Meeting Room (cap 20) and Small Meeting Room (cap 10) which opens onto terrace - these provide a more formal meeting setting with boardroom tables and upright chairs, or hang up the tables for an open meeting. Large connecting doors can be opened between the meeting rooms to form one big L-shaped Events Space (cap 70 standing; 50 seated theatre-style). Facilities include projector & screen, flip charts, PA, laptops, photocopying, whiteboard. Catering can be provided by the café/restaurant on the ground floor (which can also be hired). Own food and entertainment by arrangement. Prices on application, with discounts for students, charities and local businesses. Some hot-desking opportunities may also be available. Hub to coordinate and encourage volunteering. Charity.
