Based on a true story and previously an award-winning fringe theatre hit, Yvette tells the story of Evie. She's thirteen, lives with her mum and wants to make us laugh. But hidden in the corner of her stories is something else, a secret she has had growing up.

Written by Urielee Klein-Mekongo and developed as part of East 15's Debut Festival, the show mixes drama with original music. Yvette has won awards and praise for tackling an important issue with humour and great writing.

The show is presented as part of the A Vote of Her Own season, with the Playhouse marking the centenary of the act which allowed some women in the UK the right to vote.
