The organiser says:
A veteran at 32, Sam Duckworth has been releasing music under the moniker Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly for 12 years.
His catalogue includes 4 top 40 singles, 2 top 40 albums, a German Club Number 1 and a gold certified plaque for the seminal 'Chronicles of a Bohemian Teenager'.
Duckworth is an independent venue champion, supporting the Music Venue Trust and Independent Venue Week in a career that spans everywhere from Bicester Attic to the Pyramid Stage. Duckworth is not afraid to mix things up either, collaborating live with Damon Albarn, Flea, Kano, Dele Sosimi and Sweet Billy Pilgrim, in a variety of shows including the Felabration 70 in Lagos, Africa Expres Koko, Glastonbury, Banksy Bristol Museum Launch and a Glastonbury Leftfield takeover. Duckworth is a panelist at this years AIM conference and in 2016 was a judge at the Ivor Novello Awards.
Returning to the Get Cape. moniker, following 2012's battle with life threatening illness and 2014's subsequent abandonment, Duckworth is back in 2018 with new album Young Adult, which includes the Shy Fx collaboration 'Always'. Mastered by T Power, this is Duckworth returning to his roots a folk artist, but still keeping parts of the electronic experimentation. Duckworth debuted a new band at his recent Village Underground show, heralded by the Independent as a “Triumphant Return.”
