There will be a launch party from 7-9pm on 10th January with wine, nibbles and music
Common Ground Workspace, 37-38 Little Clarendon St, Oxford OX1 2HU, Thu 10 January - Sun 10 February 2019
The locally-based artists behind the new Idle Hands exhibition are friends who have been brought together by their mutual love of art and travel. Although their works cover a range of styles and themes, they have a similar tone which gives harmony to this exhibition. Anyone who enjoys illustration will find much to delight in this collection, particularly the highlights of Miriam Ortega's impressive Inktober challenge, during which Ortega produced one piece every day for the month of October.
You can see the works displayed throughout the fabulous Common Ground Workspace, chosen as the venue due to its community-friendly ethos. In keeping with that community spirit, the exhibition's launch party will feature music from local DJ Nic Lokko. Although not aimed at children, the exhibition is family-friendly and promises elements of fun and bursts of colour. Visitors have the opportunity to buy the works, with prints, postcards and t-shirts also available.
