Everyone's favourite nefarious, wooden-nosed toy returns to the stage this Christmas as part of the Cornerstone's festive production. Didcot's arts hub has teamed up with renowned children's theatre company Goblin to present The Adventures of Pinocchio, a vibrant, exciting new take on Carlo Collodi's original story. The play opens with The Blues Fairy, a musical raconteur, and her band, The Crickets, who weave the tale of the diminutive puppet down at the Spinning Yarn Storytelling Bar. The mischievous toy gets into all sorts of japes and scrapes as he gets used to the world around him - more often than not it's his maker, Gepetto, who has to pick up the pieces. Along with an all-new cast of talented actor-musicians, forty-five local children have been selected to join the production, so expect a festive performance that's full of music, energy and laughter.
