Adapted from Ingmar Bergman by Lucas Quinn After the actress Elisabet Vogler loses her speech mid-performance, she is sent to the island of Fårö to recover. There, attended to by her nurse Alma, she listens whilst Alma speaks. Characterised by intimacy and trust, their relationship soon becomes fraught with tension and suspected judgement and as time passes on the harsh coastline the boundaries between Alma and Elisabet begin to blur. Expect questions about the roles we perform in ourselves and answers in the poetic voice of Ingmar Bergman.
