Cowley Cotton Club, run by the Oxford Lindy Hoppers, will teach you how to swing dance including learning the Lindy Hop and some Charleston moves. Try out a drop-in class followed by a social dance to round off the evening. They have classes to suit any ability and you don’t need to bring a partner - simply drop-in as frequently as you can make it. The Oxford Lindy Hoppers also run Swing Fix on Tuesdays at the Jericho Tavern. Lessons are from 7.30pm and introduce a different style of swing each week. From 8.30pm it’s a social dance until 11pm - will you make it into the Survivors’ photo? If you still can’t get enough there’s Hop the Hall on the first Friday every month at St Margaret’s Institute – it’s fun and informal, with tea and cake available or you can bring a bottle! Hop to it!
