Big Scary Monsters's day festival Summer In The City celebrates some of the extremely talented local bands Oxford has to offer. They've pulled together their favourite acts from their own roster and from Oxford's bustling live scene to perform at five unique venues on Cowely Road - Fusion Arts, The Library, Port Mahon, BrewDog Oxford and Truck Store.
The line-up includes Tangled Hair, Orchards, WOAHNOWS, Gender Roles, Colossal Squid, Flirting, Worry, Junk Whale, Lucy Leave, Egrets, Self Help Fancy Dress Party, Daisy, Drore, Ghosts in the Photographs, WOLFS, Pet Sematary and Lina Simon, Suzy Bowtell and Room 101 DJs!
They've partnered up with a handful of marvellous local promoters including Snuggle Dice Records, Divine Schism, and even convinced 'vacuous pop' to come out of retirement especially for the day! They are also supporting the wonderful Young Women's Music Project, who you can donate to on the day and they will be showcasing the brilliant work they do with women in the local community.
