Greene King. Traditional friendly village pub. Buzzing even on a Wednesday lunchtime. Looks out onto Wolvercote Green, the canal and Port Meadow beyond. Heated covered outdoor area for smoking or just braving the wintry elements. The Library is a self-contained room, good for meetings or large group meals, decked out with a vast selection of books. They may have been chosen for looks rather than content, and there's a bit of an eclectic selection, but there are plenty of appealing reads. Serves standard Greene King ales with regular guests, imported lagers being Staropramen and Becks Vier. Menu includes upmarket pub fare (e.g. halloumi chips).

The name Plum Pudding derives from the Oxford Sandy & Black Pig sometimes referred to as the “Plum Pudding Pig” (our Plum Pudding Pigs are reared by Mark Cooper of Coopers Oxford Pork) and is one of the oldest British pig breeds, it has existed for 200-300 years, especially around Oxfordshire. You're welcome you at The Plum Pudding all year round whether you are enjoying a pint in our wonderful walled garden or warming up with a coffee by the fire in winter.

Smart gastropub restaurant serves own seasonal produce including meat, which is also sold at the butchers' next door. 16th century building. Dogs welcomed, and full menu available in the bar. The vegetarian menu is not extensive. The dessert menu has suggested wine pairings marked.

Polish food, to bring back happy memories of your holiday, or if you haven't been yet they suggest coming as a "teaser hopefully to your future Polish escapade". The menu includes the famous dumplings called Pierogi, plus Kiev-style meat cutlets, a potato pancake like a rosti, Hunter's stew, and ingredients such as sauerkraut, smoked sausage, and sour cream. Apple pie and various sorts of cake and icecream, and you can round off with shots of hazelnut, quince or cherry vodka. They are concerned with protecting the planet and offer biodegradable take-away packaging. Food can be delivered 5-8pm weeknights, and 11am-9pm Sat and Sun.

Run by husband and wife team Pascal and Laura Wiedemann. Set 3- and 2-course lunch menus, as well as the à la carte. In the evening the à la carte menu is available in the restaurant and the bar menu is available in the bar. Menus should be updated online around 5pm. There will always be a vegetarian starter and main course (but this is quite a carnivorous place).
