We are seeking a highly motivated Clinical Research Practitioner or Clinical Research Nurse to join our friendly and approachable research nurse team. You will report to the Lead Nurse and provide support and clinical care in line with service needs, for participants in a variety of cardiac studies and clinical trials. With training and support, you will develop your skills in research to contribute to the smooth running of research within CVM. You will be responsible for planning and carrying out straight forward research activities both safely and effectively within the given scope of practice and will follow a designated framework to achieve competency in several specified research and clinical skills. You will also complete mandatory courses as set by the University of Oxford as well as by the Oxford University Hospitals Trust, where you will obtain an honorary contract. Some of the responsibilities include undertaking safe, good quality, participant focused research in accordance with, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and the Research Governance Framework for Health and Care. Being able to work independently and as a part of a team, as well as taking responsibility for planning own workload and contributing towards decision-making are essential. You will have a degree in a relevant subject e.g. Biological Sciences/ Nursing. If applying for the role of clinical research nurse, you are required to be registered on part 1 (adult) of the NMC register (please state PIN on application). Experience of working in research in a clinical setting is desirable. This is a full time appointment on a fixed term contract for 3 years. You will be based at the University of Oxford Centre for Clinical Magnetic Resonance Research (OCMR), John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford OX3 9DU.
