Port Meadow is a particularly good spot to see fireworks on a clear Guy Fawkes Night, as is Shotover (Map). Most colleges and some schools provide their own shows for their members; see below for some that are open to the general public. Wheatley Primary School PTA are running their annual firework event on 7th November at Wheatley Primary School, Littleworth Road. Gates open at 5pm and the firework display (by the Wheatley Rocket Shop) starts at 7pm. We have plenty of entertainment - fairground rides and sidestalls, bar, mulled wine, pig roast, hot dogs, baked potatoes, children's tent and music from Wheatley Park Soul Band. Tickets cost £5 for adults, £3 for children/OAPs or £15 for a family of five. You can get a special offer family ticket for £12 if you buy it in advance.
