She Hate Me (18)
Director: Spike Lee

She Hate Me is the latest film from maverick auteur Spike Lee. It is a lazy, pretentious, ludicrous piece of work, lacking even the saving grace of being bad in an amusing way.

This film is so dreadful that respected American critics have been forced to argue that it must somehow be deliberate; that a filmmaker of Lee’s talents could never fail so dismally without some loftier, satirical aim.

In short, they think he’s taking the piss. They have a point. Me hate it.
